I’ll take anybody!

I really will. Today marks the start of the countdown to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa with the draw for the group stages. It’s one of the first draws that I’m actually looking forward to as I reckon the Three Lions have as good a chance as anybody of lifting the trophy.

I can only imagine what England would like if we won the thing. I’m thinking the reaction to winning the Rugby World Cup multiplied by about 600.

Football fans may know that we are seeded which means we could draw France or Portugal. I fancy our chances against anybody really. Bring it on!

Posted from my phone so no images! Sorry!

UPDATE: Algeria, USA and Slovenia??Happy days!!

I’ve finally got the WP iPhone app working.

After months of trying, I’ve finally done it… I’ve managed to get the Wordpress blog app working for my beloved iPhone.

The problem I was having was the “xmlrpc” issue. However the latest version of the app allows you to manually dial in the location of your xmlrpc.php file that it needs for the application to work.

Problem solved. Great work from the WP guys.

Recession?? Current Climate??

As some of my more regular readers (!) will have noticed, i’ve not updated the blog for a while. That’s mostly down to the fact that i’ve been really busy tying up a lot of loose ends, finishing projects and start a new full time job. I’ll still be taking on freelance work in the future so keep tuned in for portfolio updates in the near future.

So it’s exciting times for me, but now that i’ve done all my firefighting I can now settle down and relax and maybe do a bit more blogging. Hopefully.

I’m always updating my Twitter feed with interesting links and everyday nothingness if you’d like to tag along and follow me.

In a bit!

DS is back!

It’s been a while, but after a few months away, Design Sheffield is officially back and the buffet is now open!

Regular readers will have noticed that I’ve given the place a lick of paint, as you can see B&Q had a decent offer on grey so I went a bit mad. I’d like to thank my holding page for being there for me and helping out over the last few months. I owe you one. Hopefully you’ll not be back for a while.

Anyway enough wise cracks for now, back to the serious stuff.

As well as myself, I’ve lined up a decent bunch of contributors who fancied giving the old article writing business a crack, so you can look forward to a number of highly informative blog posts to read in the very near future.

As for now, i’m currently working on a number of projects, one of which is a website for the Sheffield based boxer Richard Towers. Nicknamed “The Inferno”, Richard is looking to become the next in a long line of successful boxers from the City of Steel.

So DS is back, a slighty understated return, but we’re back.
